Team Sleep emerged from the creative mind of Chino Moreno, the frontman of the influential band Deftones. Formed in the early 2000s, the group began as a side project that allowed Moreno to explore his passion for experimental and atmospheric sounds. The band’s origin dates back to 1994 when Moreno started to write music during sessions apart from Deftones. Although Team Sleep didn't release their debut self-titled album until 2005, they had laid down their unique take on post-rock and shoegaze influences years earlier, building a devoted following in the underground music scene. With an eclectic mix of styles, Team Sleep carved out a distinct niche that set them apart from their contemporaries. Throughout their career, Team Sleep has included several talented musicians, most notably Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar) and former Will Haven guitarist, Jeff Caxide. Their self-titled debut album featured prominent track hits like 'Ever' and 'The Passportal,' showcasing the band's ability to blend dreamy textures with intricate rhythms.
