Biography

Tom Fogerty was born on November 9, 1941, in Berkeley, California. He grew up in a musical family, which greatly influenced his passion for music from a young age. After moving to El Cerrito, he formed his first band, The Blue Velvets, which included his brother, John Fogerty. The band later evolved into the iconic Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR). Tom's early influences, which encompassed a wide range of genres, played a crucial role in shaping his unique sound and musical direction. His initial contributions were foundational to the band, establishing them in the late 60s rock scene. As a core member of Creedence Clearwater Revival, which formed in 1967, Tom Fogerty contributed to the band's phenomenal success.
