The Robert Fripp String Quintet, formed under the visionary direction of guitarist Robert Fripp, represents a sonic exploration grounded in innovation and creativity. Fripp, born on May 16, 1946, in Wimborne Minster, Dorset, England, began playing guitar at a young age, quickly developing a distinctive style that would carve paths within avant-garde and progressive rock genres.
