Biography
Shavo Odadjian is a renowned Armenian-American musician and producer, best known for his role as the bassist and occasional guitarist for the influential band System of a Down. Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in the late '70s and moving to Los Angeles at a young age, Shavo developed a passion for music early in his life. He immersed himself in the vibrant underground music scene of the 1990s, where he honed his skills and formed strong connections with fellow musicians. His artistic journey truly began when he co-founded System of a Down in 1994, alongside Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, and John Dolmayan, marking a significant moment in rock history that fused heavy metal with diverse musical influences and political commentary.
