Paul Bostaph is an American drummer known for his powerful and precise drumming style, recognized mainly within the thrash metal genre. Born on March 6, 1964, Bostaph began his musical journey in the elite underground scenes of the San Francisco Bay Area. His passion for music was apparent at an early age, and he honed his skills as a percussionist before securing his first professional role with the band Forbidden in 1987. This early association set the stage for a prolific career that would see him rising to prominence in several iconic metal bands, each time leaving an indelible mark on the thrash metal landscape. Throughout the 1990s, Bostaph's career took off as he joined Testament in 1992, contributing to the band's signature heavy sound which helped define the genre.
