Edward Van Halen, born on January 26, 1955, in Amsterdam, Netherlands, emerged as a legendary figure in the world of rock music. His family relocated to Pasadena, California, when he was a child, where he and his brother Alex began playing music at an early age. Influenced by classical music through his father, who was a professional clarinetist, and the rock and roll revolution that gripped America in the 1960s, Edward honed his skills on the guitar.
