Biography
Dizzy Gillespie, born on October 21, 1917, in Cheraw, South Carolina, emerged as a pivotal figure in the landscape of jazz music. Known for his virtuosic trumpet playing and charismatic stage presence, Gillespie's early career set the stage for a lifelong dedication to advancing the jazz genre.
