Born on May 23, 1973, Alex Hellid is a Swedish musician best known for his pioneering role in the death metal genre, particularly as a guitarist. Growing up in Umeå, Hellid was influenced by a variety of musical styles early on, especially hard rock and heavy metal. His passion for music led him to pick up the guitar, and he quickly developed a unique sound that would become a hallmark of his career.
