Steve Ignorant, born on December 31, 1957, is a prominent figure in the British punk rock scene, best known as the lead vocalist for the iconic band Crass. Raised in a working-class family, Ignorant's early life experiences in the politically charged 1970s shaped his future as both a musician and activist. He co-founded Crass in 1977, a band that not only pushed the boundaries of punk music but also became a voice for social change, addressing issues such as war, consumerism, and individual freedom through their powerful lyrics and DIY ethic.
