Pete Wentz is an American musician, songwriter, and entrepreneur, best known as the bassist and primary lyricist of the popular rock band Fall Out Boy. Born on June 5, 1979, in Wilmette, Illinois, Wentz developed a passion for music at a young age. He began playing the guitar and later shifted to bass while attending high school. Wentz’s early musical endeavors included forming bands in his teenage years, and he quickly established himself in the Chicago punk rock scene, which laid the foundation for his later successes. In 2001, Wentz co-founded Fall Out Boy, which quickly rose to fame with their breakout album, "From Under the Cork Tree" (2005).
