Biography

Page McConnell, born on May 24, 1969, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is best known as the keyboardist and an integral member of the legendary jam band Phish. McConnell showed a keen interest in music from a young age, learning to play the piano at just five years old. He later attended the University of Vermont, where he met fellow band members Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon. Shortly after, they formed Phish in 1983, blending rock, jazz, bluegrass, and various musical styles, paving the way for their distinctive sound that left an indelible mark on the music scene. As a member of Phish, McConnell’s contributions were pivotal to the band's rise to fame throughout the 1990s and beyond. With the release of seminal albums such as "Junta" (1989), "A Picture of Nectar" (1992), and "Farmhouse" (2000), McConnell showcased his remarkable versatility, blending complex melodies and inventive harmonies with a zestful stage presence.
