Biography

Matt Sorum arrived on the Southern California rock scene in the late 1980s, bringing a muscular, groove forward approach to an era defined by guitar driven anthems and boundary pushing acts. Born in 1960, he cultivated his craft in local clubs and studio sessions, absorbing a wide range of influences from classic hard rock to the emergent hard edged metal sounds of the era.
