Manny Charlton, born on July 25, 1941, is a renowned Scottish guitarist and producer, best known for his role in the rock band Nazareth. He was born in La Línea, Spain, to a Scottish father and a Spanish mother, which infused his upbringing with a rich tapestry of cultural influences. His family relocated to Dunfermline, Scotland, during his early childhood, where Charlton began to develop a passion for music. Inspired by rock and roll pioneers such as Elvis Presley and Chuck Berry, he taught himself how to play guitar, which would lay the groundwork for his instrumental prowess. By the time he reached his teenage years, Charlton was performing in local bands across Scotland, honing his skills and establishing himself in the burgeoning music scene of the 1960s.
