Biography

Jonathan Davis is best known as the lead vocalist and frontman of the influential nu-metal band Korn. Born in Bakersfield, California, in 1971, Davis grew up surrounded by a diverse musical landscape that shaped his early career. He began to play music in his teenage years, experimenting with various instruments and genres. His early experiences in local bands were crucial as they provided him with the foundation to develop his distinct vocal style and lyrical prowess. After briefly studying at a local community college, Davis took on a job as a mortician's assistant, where he drew inspiration for some of his darker lyrical themes. In 1993, he joined forces with guitarist James 'Munky' Shaffer, bassist Fieldy, and drummer David Silveria to form Korn, setting the stage for a groundbreaking career in music.
