Jay Weinberg is an American drummer born into a musical family, being the son of legendary drummer Max Weinberg. He started his career at a young age playing in various local bands before making a significant impact in the music scene. Weinberg's early influences were diverse, ranging from classic rock to punk, and he quickly gained recognition for his technical prowess and energetic performances. After honing his skills, he captured attention with his unique style that combines elements of different genres, showcasing an impressive command of rhythm and dynamics. His journey began in earnest when he joined the New Jersey-based band Against Me! in 2011, where he further developed his distinct sound and creative approach to drumming.
