Gina Schock is a renowned American drummer and songwriter, best known as a member of the groundbreaking Rock band, The Go-Go's. Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Schock started her music career at an early age, experimenting with various instruments and musical styles. After moving to Los Angeles in the late 1970s, she quickly established herself in the vibrant music scene, joining several bands before finding her place in The Go-Go's, which became one of the most prominent all-female bands of the era. With their infectious sound blending punk rock and pop melodies, they achieved commercial success and critical acclaim, especially with the release of their iconic album 'Beauty and the Beat' in 1981, which topped the Billboard charts.
