Gabi Delgado-López, born on April 18, 1963, in Düsseldorf, Germany, is a prominent figure in the electronic music scene, known for his groundbreaking work in the genres of techno and EBM (Electronic Body Music). He began his career in the early 1980s, initially gaining traction with his band DAF (Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft), which he co-founded with Robert Görl. The band's compelling sound, a fusion of pop and punk energy infused with electronic beats, paved the way for a new wave of music that significantly influenced the electronic music landscape in Europe. Their debut album, 'Die Kleinen und die Bösen' (1980), and the iconic 'Nächste Wahrnehmung' (1982) showcased Delgado-López's unique vocal style and lyrical boldness that challenged conventional norms.
