Dimitri B. B. Koi, born on March 15, 1975, in Prague, Czech Republic, emerged as a prominent figure in the alternative rock scene in the late 1990s. Growing up in a musically inclined family, he started playing guitar at the age of 12 and quickly developed a passion for songwriting. His early influences ranged from classic rock legends to underground bands, fostering a diverse musical palette that shaped his artistic identity. After honing his skills in local bands during his teenage years, he formed his first significant group, 'The Velvet Echoes,' in 1990, earning acclaim for their raw sound and evocative lyrics until disbanding in 1995. In 1996, Koi founded 'Eclipsed Sunset,' a band that skyrocketed to fame with their debut album, 'Reflections in the Dark,' which featured hit singles like 'Shattered Dreams' and 'Lost in Translation.'
