Biography

Dan Marsala, born in 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri, is best known as the frontman of the post-hardcore band Story of the Year. He discovered his passion for music at a young age, being influenced by the grunge and punk rock movements of the 1990s. Marsala started playing guitar in his teens and quickly transitioned to lead vocals, showcasing his distinctive voice and energetic stage presence. After high school, he formed a band that would ultimately evolve into Story of the Year, planting the seeds for a significant career in music. The band gained traction in the early 2000s, instantly becoming a notable name in the alternative rock scene after releasing their debut album, 'Page Ave.' in 2003, which featured hits like 'Until the Day I Die'.
