Biography
Casey Royer, born on October 8, 1958, is a foundational figure in the American punk rock scene. Hailing from Fullerton, California, Royer was drawn to music at a young age, inspired by the energetic and rebellious spirit of the emerging punk movement. He initially gained recognition as the drummer for Social Distortion, a band that carved out a niche in the late 1970s. However, it was his role in the Adolescents that would solidify his status as a pivotal player in punk rock. The Adolescents, known for their melodic hooks and raw sound, played a crucial role in defining the southern California punk sound during the early 1980s, allowing Royer to explore his creative breadth both as a performer and songwriter.
