Biography
Carlton Douglas Ridenhour, better known by his stage name 'Chuck D', was born in the 1960s in Queens, New York City, where he cultivated a passion for hip-hop culture from an early age. Influenced by the socio-political landscape and aspiring to echo the struggles of his community, Ridenhour began his career in music as a college radio DJ, where his skill for mixing tracks and delivering poignant messages began to take shape. His dedication to articulate the concerns of the marginalized became evident as he collaborated with various local artists, sowing the seeds for his future success.
