Biography
Born on October 8, 1965, C.J. Ramone, originally Christopher Joseph Ward, is a pivotal figure in the punk rock scene, best known for his role as the bassist for the legendary band Ramones. Growing up in a musically inclined family in Queens, New York, C.J. found himself immersed in rock music from a young age. Influenced by the upbeat sound and rebellious spirit of the 1970s punk movement, he began playing bass in various local bands during his teenage years, ultimately leading him to cross paths with the iconic Ramones. His integration into the band occurred in 1989, filling the void left by original bassist Dee Dee Ramone, as the band continued to play and tour in support of their rich catalog of influential music.
