Buddy Miles, born on September 5, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska, was an American drummer, vocalist, and songwriter. He initially gained prominence in the 1960s as a member of the iconic band Electric Flag, where his energetic and passionate drumming style made a significant impact on the psychedelic rock movement. Miles' early career was marked by his collaborations with various renowned artists, setting the stage for his evolution as a prominent musician. Throughout his formative years, he ventured into the world of jazz and rock fusion, which would later define his distinctive sound.
