Biography

Benjamin Tod, born in the early 1980s, grew up in the vibrant music scene of Nashville, Tennessee. His childhood was steeped in the rich traditions of American folk and country music, with early influences that included the likes of Townes Van Zandt and Johnny Cash. By his teenage years, Tod had developed a love for songwriting, drawing inspiration from the heartache and struggles depicted in the tales of these legends. He began performing at local open mics, honing his craft and connecting with the burgeoning community of artists in the area, which would eventually serve as a springboard for his career in music. His unique voice and storytelling ability quickly set him apart in the crowded landscape of budding musicians. In 2008, he released his debut solo album, "The Last American Hero," which garnered attention for its authentic, stripped-back sound and poignant lyrics.
