Ben Harclerode is an influential American drummer born on May 28, 1986, whose impactful contributions to the extreme metal scene have made him a notable figure in the genre. Harclerode's early fascination with music began in his youth, where he was exposed to a variety of musical styles that would shape his drumming technique and encourage his pursuit of a career in music. In 2009, Ben joined the deathcore band Knights of the Abyss, where he honed his skills and helped shape the band’s sound with his aggressive and technical drumming style. After a notable stint with them, he transitioned to the mainstream metal scene as a member of Whitechapel in 2011. Over the next six years, Harclerode played on several acclaimed albums, contributing to the band's ever-expanding discography and solidifying their place in the heavy music landscape.
