Biography

Art Alexakis, born on April 12, 1962, in Los Angeles, California, is the acclaimed frontman of the alternative rock band Everclear. Growing up in a turbulent environment, Alexakis found solace in music, picking up the guitar at a young age. His early career saw him dabbling in several bands throughout the 1980s, including 'Shovel Face' and 'Colorfinger', which helped him hone his skills as a songwriter and performer. However, it wasn't until he founded Everclear in 1992 that he began to make a significant mark on the music scene. Their debut album, 'World of Noise', released in 1993, featured a raw and honest sound that resonated well with listeners, setting the stage for greater success. The band's breakthrough came with the release of 'Sparkle and Fade' in 1995, which included iconic tracks like 'Santa Monica' and 'You Make Me Feel Like a Whore'.
