Biography
Aidan Moffat, born in 1971 in the Scottish town of Falkirk, began his musical journey in the early 1990s. He initially gained attention as the frontman of the indie rock band Arab Strap, which he co-founded with Malcolm Middleton. Their raw and introspective lyrics, often exploring themes of love, loneliness, and the human experience, resonated deeply with the Scottish music scene and reached audiences far beyond. The duo's unique blend of spoken word and folk-infused sound set them apart, leading to a devoted following and critical acclaim during their early years. Arab Strap's debut album, "The Week Never Ends", released in 1996, marked a pivotal moment in Moffat's career, establishing him as a voice of his generation in the alternative music landscape.
